It’s 5:00 AM. The world is still asleep. The city lights twinkle faintly, and the silence feels sacred. I wake up before the noise, before the emails, before the world demands my attention.

I pour a glass of water, stretch gently, and smile, this is my golden hour, my victory hour. An hour to myself and not for the world.

For years, I lived like many others rushing from task to task, snoozing alarms, and starting the day in survival mode. Life felt like a race I couldn’t win. But when I discovered Robin Sharma’s 5 AM Club and began living by the 20/20/20 Formula, everything shifted.


The 20/20/20 Formula ~The Power Hour Explained

The formula breaks that first hour of your day (from 5:00 to 6:00 AM) into three purposeful 20-minute blocks:

MOVE (5:00–5:20 AM) ~ “Sweat Before Sunrise”

You move your body to ignite your brain and release endorphins. This could be a quick workout, dancing to your favorite song (I love to dance off), yoga, or even a walk outside. It wakes up your body and sharpens your mind.

Science behind it: Movement increases dopamine and serotonin the “happy” chemicals helping you start your day with energy and positivity.

One hour. Three pillars. A stronger body. A calmer mind. A sharper focus.

REFLECT (5:20–5:40 AM) ~ “Stillness Before the Storm”

Once your heart is pumping, you slow down. You journal, meditate, pray, or simply sit with gratitude. You reflect on what matters most and who you want to become, what kind of energy you want to give, what lessons yesterday taught you.

It’s your time to realign your inner compass before the world distracts you.

 GROW (5:40–6:00 AM) ~ “Feed Your Mind Before the World Feeds You Noise”

You dedicate the last 20 minutes to learning. Read a few pages of a book, listen to an inspiring podcast, study a course or something that stretches your mind. This is your mental fuel. Because growth doesn’t happen by chance ~ it happens by design.
